. . . that is what this blog is about.
As a new Christian believer, embracing your faith may feel exhilarating and overwhelming at the same time. Moreover, you will find that the journey comes with its own set of challenges and learning how to navigate these, can be the difference between thriving in your faith or falling away.
Possible Challenges
Pressure and discouragement can come from the most unexpected places . . . from friends and acquaintances and even family members, who may not understand or share your new faith. This can lead to doubts and confusion that could make you question your decision.
It is critical that you build a foundation anchored in prayer, and the Word of God. It’s also important to surround yourself with those who will uplift and support your walk with Christ; people who will encourage you through the ups and downs. This is the purpose of this blog.
In the Parable of the Sower the Bible says:
19When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.
21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
Our desire is to see new Christian believers grow in their faith and bring forth fruit. We want for your life to bring glory to God. To this end, you can begin your journey by looking at how to secure your foundation in Christ. Let’s begin . . .
